About Us

On the lookout for a unique and exciting way to celebrate your next special event? Look no further than Hawaiian dancing! Kaiolohia’inanamoani and her partner Danielle are professional hula dancers who embrace the traditional style of the Hawaiian hula.

Alison Gauthier

Based in London, Ontario, Alison Gauthier (aka Kaiolohia’inanamoani) is a performance artist who specializes in Hawaiian entertainment and is the owner of “Forest City Hawaiian Dance Co.”.  She has over 25 years of dance training and family entertainment experience, has performed for over 500 events, and was recently the most in demand Hawaiian act while living in Calgary.

To keep her shows authentic and respectful, Alison has studied under several Kumu’s (hula teachers) and although she is not a native Hawaiian by blood, she has the honor of being named “Kaiolohia’inanamoani” by her first Kumu for being pono (truthful and respectful while representing the Hawaiian culture and spirit).

Under the guidance and teachings of her current Kumuhula (master hula teacher), Alison is learning new dances, new stories, how to play instruments and is even learning oli (chanting).  She hopes to bring her Kumuhula to London for a workshop in the future.

A mesmerizing dancer, and endearing speaker, Alison captures attention and holds it.  Her experience and professionalism make her one of London’s most valued performers in the entertainment industry.

About Betsy

Betsy has been learning dance for over six years. She began with the study of Raqs Sharqi (Belly Dance) in London, ON, and quickly fell in love with the art. Her passion has driven her to continue learning as many styles of dance as she can and to learn from other highly trained and experienced dancers whenever possible. This led her down the path of learning Hula with her teacher and dance partner Alison Gauthier (aka Kaiolohia’inanamoani).

Betsy is thrilled to join Forest City Hawaiian Dance co. to continue her journey of dance and to share the art of hula with the community.

Thank-you for your beautiful performance at our Hawaiian luau.

It was a great event., but your Hawaiian hula dances with the stories you provided were breathtaking to watch.  The tenants are still talking about how much they enjoyed your performance.

Much Appreciated;
